First Timer Instructions

Congratulations on taking this first step! We are so excited to have you in the studio and for you to experience the SHINE FIT energy for yourself.



OVERVIEW



WHAT TO BRING/PREPARE

WAIVER & PAR-Q

This liability waiver and Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) MUST be filled out before you attend.




EAT BEFORE CLASS:

Eat a snack or meal 30-90min before your class so you have enough energy. Make sure this includes healthy fats, protein and carbs (i.e. snack bar, apple and peanut butter, crackers and dip, etc). DO NOT show up to class on an empty stomach, under any circumstance.

"You can't do a full workout on an empty stomach!"


ARRIVAL:

Please aim to arrive 10-15min early so you have enough time to get in the studio, ask your coach any questions (or ask for modifications) and get comfortable. Classes start promptly on time.


AMENITIES:

We have a washroom and change room, but no showers. We recommend changing before coming if you can.


BRING WITH YOU:

  • Water bottle

  • Indoor running shoes

  • Sweat towel (optional)

  • Athletic clothes

  • Positive attitude!

Note: We do not have water or food/bev available for purchase on site. I repeat, remember a water bottle!!!!

GETTING TO THE STUDIO

🚊Subway? Exit at Bloor-Yonge Station. On the Yellow line level (Level 1), exit towards Hayden Street. Here's a handy instructional video that will walk with you from Subway-> studio.

🚗 Driving? The nearest parking is the "Charles/Hayden Green P garage". This is paid municipal parking, and it is a large garage so there is always space here.

🚴‍♀️ City Biking? We highly recommend this option! The nearest city bike dock is in the Green P garage "Charles/Hayden Green P garage" right next door.

🚶‍♀️Walking? Walk on up!



BUILDING ENTRANCE - Door Buzzer Code

For security purposes, there is a door buzzer code. Please do not share this code publicly; it is for SHINE FIT clients only.

  1. Dial "1-SHINE FIT" and it will ring to our team

  2. We will buzz you in


If you have any trouble with the door buzzer, please CALL our office line at 📲647-493-0822 so a member of our Team can come up & let you in.



RESCHEDULING & NO SHOWS


RESCHEDULING/CANCELLATION POLICY: You can reschedule or cancel your class up to 24 hours in advance with no penalty. If you are on a free class credit, we have a one reschedule only rule.


LATE RESCHEDULE POLICY: If you need to reschedule within the 24 hours before your scheduled class, there is a $10 late switch fee, and once paid, you can reschedule your class.


NO SHOW POLICY: If you do not show up to a scheduled class, there is a $20 no show fee, and you lose studio/class booking privileges until this is paid. You will also lose the class credit.
