From Perfectionism to Pure Joy: Sara’s Story

Updated: Feb 20

“I used to be obsessed with perfection, but now I come here and literally just have fun.”

Summary:

Searching for Something Different

Sara’s background in ballet left her craving both movement and a creative outlet—but she was tired of traditional gyms. Bored by machines and repetitive routines, she turned to Google Maps, typed in “dance fitness,” and found SHINE FIT just five minutes away. What started as a two-week trial quickly became a Six-Week Challenge, and now, six months later, she’s more hooked than ever.

Letting Go of Perfection

Having grown up obsessed with “getting things right,” Sara used to count every squat and push-up, feeling guilty on days she didn’t work out. At SHINE FIT, she discovered a whole new mindset: it’s not about punishing yourself for missing a workout—it’s about coming to class, having fun, and enjoying the surge of adrenaline and dopamine.

Embracing Fun and Community

Sara’s favorite part of SHINE FIT is the community she’s built. Beyond the four walls of the studio, she’s made friends she hangs out with, sharing laughs and common goals. Her advice? “Don’t worry if you’ve never danced or can’t do a perfect push-up. Show up for yourself and let the fun follow.”

Ready to Transform?

Sara’s journey is a testament to how a supportive environment and fun, dance-based workouts can spark a major mindset shift—from perfectionism and guilt to pure joy in movement.
