Before joining SHINE, Paige (she/her) used to view fitness as a punishment. Now, at SHINE, she's finally discovered that movement can be empowering! After bouncing between studios and struggling to find a true sense of belonging, Paige has found the community, confidence, and consistency she had been craving.


While this testimonial was filmed way back in March, we are so excited to welcome Paige to Team SHINE as our new Assistant Studio Manager!

Before SHINE FIT: Fitness as Punishment


Before SHINE, Paige's relationship with fitness was complicated. Growing up playing competitive soccer, workouts were often associated with punishment. "If we didn’t do well, we had to run laps," she shared. Exercise felt like a chore — something to dread, not enjoy.


When she moved from Vancouver to Toronto, she found herself bouncing between studios trying to find a place that felt like home. While there were plenty of trendy fitness spots, Paige often felt like just another face in the crowd.


"I was just a number, a spot in the class. I wasn’t part of the environment."

She craved a space where:
