This is one of our most frequently asked questions - and we love that people ask us, because the answer says a lot about who we are and what we do.
The short version: No. SHINE FIT is not women’s only. We welcome all gender identities🌈✨.
But let’s talk about what that actually looks like - and answer a few questions we hear all the time.

Who Walks Through Our Doors
SHINE was built around an ideology, not a demographic. Our goal is for each participant, no matter where you come from or what you look like, walks into our studio and immediately feels like you belong here. There is no judgment, guilt, or shame - just movement, music, and a community that's genuinely glad you showed up.
With that said, the vast majority of our members identify as women. When you see videos of classes, you'll often see a room full of female-presenting people - and that shapes the energy of our space Our classes, our programming, our community culture often carries a more feminine energy. However, But "majority" doesn't mean "exclusively," and we wouldn't want it to.
If you feel called to this space, this space is for you.
FAQ: The Questions We Always Get
What if I'm Queer or Non-Binary?
You are so welcome here. We mean that without asterisks or qualifiers. SHINE is a community built on showing up as you are, and that includes YOU. Come as you are!
Our members come from all walks of life, all identities, all relationships to their bodies. The only thing we ask is that you bring yourself.... We'll handle the rest.
What if I don't identify as a woman but want to take a class?
You're welcome here. We ask everyone, regardless of gender, to enter this space with the same respect and awareness that makes SHINE feel the way it does. Our community is our greatest asset, and we protect it.
What if I Cover for religious reasons and want a women-only class?
We see you, and we want to make sure you have everything you need to make an informed decision about your practice here.
Because SHINE is open to all gender identities, we cannot guarantee a women's-only environment in every class. While the majority of our classes end up with all women in attendance, if covering matters to your practice, we want you to know that upfront. This is not meant as a deterrent, but out of respect for your needs and to set expectations clearly before you walk through the doors.
What we do recommend: if you wear a hijab and are looking for activewear that supports your practice, sports hijabs designed specifically for exercise are a great option.
We'd love to talk through your specific questions before you book your first class. Please reach out to our team directly - we're here to help you figure out if SHINE is the right fit for you. Reach us at (647) 493-0822 or DM us on Instagram.
The Bottom Line
SHINE FIT is a community space. That means everyone who walks through our doors -regardless of gender, background, or experience level - is held to the same standard: show up with respect, move how you feel, and leave a little more yourself than when you arrived.🫶
