Summary
Emma (she/they) first found SHINE FIT through an Instagram ad and has not looked back. What started as casual drop-in classes twice a week quickly evolved into a life-changing experience—both physically and personally.
Now, she's stepping into a new role on Team SHINE as our Content & Marketing Manager!
Before SHINE FIT: Inconsistent and Looking for Community
Before SHINE, Emma (she/they) didn’t have a consistent workout routine. They had just moved to Toronto and were looking to make friends and find community in the city!
❌ They enjoyed being active outdoors, but winter made it hard to stay moving
❌ They weren’t confident stepping into higher-intensity formats
❌ They didn't know anyone in the city and were looking for a supportive community.
The Turning Point: Finding SHINE FIT
Then, an Instagram ad caught Emma's eye. It showed people laughing, dancing, and genuinely having fun while working out, and she thought:
"These are the type of people I want to be friends with"
That was enough to get her to try her first class… and she hasn’t stopped since.
💙 She instantly felt welcomed and supported
💙 She joined the Energy Exchange team to stay involved
💙 She began attending consistently and exploring new workout formats, including HIIT classes!
The Transformation: Confidence, Community, and Growth
Emma’s biggest change? Confidence—in her workouts and in herself!

✔️ She went from avoiding HIIT classes to crushing them.
✔️ She’s doing all the burpees and push-ups she once thought she couldn’t
